QMI Team: Harald Hope

Network & Web/It Administrator

Harald Hope is Webmaster and Systems Administrator Extraordinaire at QMI/Visual-Lean® Institute. In addition to maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading QMI computer systems, Harald is responsible for the same set of critical tasks for our Web site.

Amongst his many projects for QMI, Harald produced a full rewrite of our Web site in 2007, and again at the start of 2008. With special expertise in integrating disparate web software packages, Harald looks forward to the day when all of QMI’s more complex business transactions are executable online. With his last web construction, he has moved very close to achieving that important goal.

In addition, Harald was instrumental in testing, refining, and upgrading SoftShield, QMI's proprietary key-based delivery system.

If you experience any problems on the site, please contact Harald directly.

Harald currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. His primary computer-related interests are Free software, Web development, computer networking, and computer hardware. He also develops and runs the popular web design and programming site, techpatterns.com.

Harald is also a regular contributor to, and team member of, sidux, a cutting-edge (yet user-friendly) Debian Sid-based Linux distribution system.

When not at his computer, Harald can be found camping or hiking somewhere in the West Coast wilderness. (He is seen in his photo with Merlin the Cat, another valuable member of the QMI team.)
