What's New at VLI
CAMT, MEPs & NIST. In 2005, QMI and CAMT (Colorado Association for Manufacturing and Technologies) began a collaboration with the goal of bringing Dr. Galsworth’s work to the national network of manufacturing and work improvement specialists known as the Manufacturing Extension Partnerships.
Under the guidance of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), the MEPs represent an important resource to small and medium-size companies across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Several MEPs are now QMI Affiliates, having been trained and licensed in one or more VLI courses.
MEP-University. We are happy to announce our new association with NIST and MEP University (MEP-U). MEP-U is responsible for providing MEPs with training and certification in core improvement models and methods.
In 2008, the Visual-Lean Institute will begin, under the auspices of MEP-U, to license and train interested MEPs, starting with:
- Track-1: Visual Workplace/Visual Thinking Briefing and Pre-Launch Planning
- Track-2: Visual Order/Visual Inventiveness Implementation Suite
For a detailed overview of our approach to workplace visuality, attend a special MEP-only event through MEP-U or one of our introductory Public Seminars.
