Let the Workplace Speak

The Visual Machine®

Maximizing Machine Uptime Through Visual Solutions

What would happen to your production numbers if your machines became active partners in their perfect performance? What would happen to your work culture if machine operators teamed up with your maintenance staff to create thinking machines through workplace visuality. Schedule this workshop and find out!

Do you have excessive downtime? Are quality problems tied to machine and operator performance plaguing your planning? Do your changeovers eat up production time? The Visual Machine® is the solution to these challenges and more.

Put an end to searching for tools, people, work orders, blueprints, maintenance, supervisors, and materials. Make them all available at-a-glance through machine visuality: safety and performance data and procedures, ISO requirements, metrics, lubrication effectiveness, standards of usage—as well as preventive maintenance activities and schedules. Imbed meaning and right action into your equipment through visual devices. Let the machine speak.

In this two-day, hands-on workshop, learn how to imbed vital machine and operator performance into your equipment, layer by layer.

  • First learn by listening: Listen as the instructor shares the building blocks of visual thinking. Learn the logic of visuality so you can identify your need to know and need to share. Understand how to segment machine functions into layers of visual information sharing. Learn the language of visual thinking and maximize your machine utilization.
  • Then learn by doing: Go to the production floor and learn to track down motion (moving without) in its numerous and nearly invisible forms—and uncover the missing information that triggers them. Learn, hands-on, to re-assess chronic problems into what they really are: raging deficits information.
  • Create visual solutions: Learn to develop visual devices that render your equipment self-explaining so they can become self-regulating—along with the operators that run them. Imbed vital machine information into the landscape of the equipment.
  • Reflect and Plan: Scale the process and benefits you just experienced for your company. What is needed to extend the learning and transform your approach to improved machine utilization. Map out that pathway. Set those milestones.
  • Get results: Now implement. Let us partner with you as learn to let your machinery speak. Let us help you learn how to go further—how, for example, to transform your maintenance activity into a reliability function.

"My whole outlook on the machine has changed. My misconception that neat-clean-orderly meant visual. Now I know that this is one piece of a very large pie called the visual machine. I went from ‘I hope we can do it’ to ‘I know we can do it’— and that we must do it to survive."
